Ring Slings---Have two rings that are typical to this style of carrier.  The rings vary in weight, size and color.  These slings come in "one size fits all" usually.  They can accomodate most sizes as needed with the help of the adjustable rings mentioned.  The shoulder can come in different styles and may cup and fold differently depending on style.  Sizing is truly preferential to length the tail comes off the front of the carrier.  Some like a longer tail in front and others care for a shorter version.  Some parents however, do not care for the rings to adjust or tail worn in front.  Rings can often dig inrto shoulders if not worn properly.  Baby can be worn in lots of positions in a ring sling.

Pouch--- A baby pouch is simple and known for their easy learning curve.  Most people can quickly figure out a pouch sling and the positions for a baby just seem to come naturally.  A pouch looks like a tube of fabric with a seam that is shaped like a curve.  They are worn over the shoulder similar to how a messenger bag is used.  Baby can be worn in several positions, and the pouch can be used well into the toddler years.  A pouch works great for the baby who wants up and down frequently, as doing so is done quickly and without adjustments.  Space saving and compact, a pouch can be easily carried in a diaper bag.  The beauty of a pouch is in it's simplicity so most often they are found without anything to adjust.  Sizing is the key to a proper fit with a pouch sling.
