This is a questions asked by many.  Renting is a nice otion for morking moms who onlly intend to breastfeed short-term.  Powerful, hospital-grade rental pumps ( Medela Symphony, Medela Lactina and Hollister Elite) are also good for new mothers who are pumping to establish a milk supply, such as moms if NICU babies.  Breast pumps rentals start at $40 per month to $65 per month.  Renting a pumps also gives the new mom a chance to see if pumping will work for her before making the committment to purchase a professional pump.

 The Medela Lactina--Ideal for Long-Term and Frequent Pumping.  This is our most popular rental pump!  The Lactina is a favorite of hospitals, rental canters and moms.  The Lactina is a multi-user breastpump.  Built-in vacuum release protects moms against excessive or prolonged suction.  Ideal for initiating ans maintaing milk supply.  Features automatic suck and release for ease of use and efficiency.  Also works with a car adapter.  The Lactina rents by the month for $55 or on a comittment of 3 months for $40/month.  The Accessory kit is $56.
  The Hollister or Egnell Elite.  Microchip technology allows independent adjustment of suction levels and cycle speed to asccomodate mother's personal comfort level and to closely stimulatebaby's nursing patterns.  The Hollister rents by the month for $55 or on a committment of 3 months for $40/month.  The Accessory Kit is $55.
